The World Smart City Expo (WSCE) is the largest Smart City event in the Asia-Pacific region and is globally recognised as a leading expo representing the smart city industry. Since its inception in 2017, the WSCE has played a pivotal role in expanding global smart city industries by fostering knowledge sharing, facilitating networking opportunities, showcasing innovation, driving policy development, and providing an international perspective on the achievements of smart cities worldwide.
This year 'The Korea Institute for Technology Infrastructure Advancement' has teamed up with Innovate UK to deliver the session “Orchestrating Smart City Data Ecosystems”, at the WSCE three-day event. Advanced Infrastructure's Dr Noah Miller will be taking to the stage at the session alongside speakers from Connected Places Catapult, Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Technology (KICT), and Innovate UK. The session will focus on community-led growth, engagement across all domains, acceleration of open standards and interoperability.
Dr Noah's presentation 'Accelerating the Local Energy Transition with Digital Tools' will unpack how spatial analytics and digital twins are supporting cross-sector planning and collaboration between local authorities, electricity network operators, and wider stakeholders to identify prime sites for low-carbon technologies. Through this collaboration and enabled by digital tools, the speed of installing low-carbon technologies has been massively increased, enabling a faster transition to net zero.
The WSCE which takes place at KINTEX, Seoul, South Korea will be held between the 6th-8th of September and is already anticipating over 30,000 visitors from across 60 countries.
